Energy & Environment Club

Energy and Environment Clubs play an important role in creating energy and environmental awareness amongst the future generation.
To select optimum energy forms for consumption and to optimize the energy consumption of each form of energy for reducing energy costs and for improving productivity, the standard of living, and the environment. In connection with the United Nations   seventeen sustainable development Goals (SDGs), we are working for awareness and promotion to  ensure access to  affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all.

  • Motivate the students to conserve the energy and clean their surrounding environment
  • Promote conservation of energy by minimizing the use of energy.
  • Awareness to  students and  public for use of energy-efficient  equipment
  • Promote more use of green energy for a sustainable future
  • Conduct the hands-on training for the students and public in renewable energy

Usage of Energy’ survey

Energy and Environment Conservation Club (EECC) with its committed approach towards energy-related issues conducted ‘Usage of Energy’ survey at Ward 16 of Puthoor Panchayat, Thrissur in the academic year 2010 – 11, and organized a seminar on ‘Energy Crisis and Energy Conservation’ and piloted the distribution of leaflets. The Club celebrated National Cycle Day on 22nd September 2014, National Science Day on 6th February 2015, besides organizing a seminar on the topic ‘Nuclear Power Programme and Environment’ by Dr. B. N. Dileep, Head, Environment Survey Laboratory, BARC, Kaiga, Karnataka and World Environment Day on 5th June 2015 with an orientation talk by Dr. N. Sasidharan from KFRI and presentation of papers related to the topic, by research scholars. Departments of Botany and Economics piloted the proceedings of the day.
