YOUTH EMPOWERMENT SCHEME [YES]

YES was started on 20-12-2001and the Centre was blessed by His Grace Jacob Thoomkuzhy, the Patron of the College. The Centre offers free counselling to the students. Trained counsellors, psychologists and special educators are available on prior appointment. Counselling is the process of empowering the counselee with introspection and understand his situation and thus solve his problems. There is need for external help in order to maintain a psychological equilibrium to cope with stress, to seek information about the means ofself- control, growth and self-expansion. The Centre is functioning to achieve these goals. The Centre also conducts lectures on personality development, value education, problems of the youth etc. The centre has started a new programme called YES on 2011 June under this programme all the students will get an opportunity to interact with the counsellors in the centre. M.S.W. Dept is assisting this venture whole heartedly.
