Symbolism of the College Logo

Veritas Vos Liberabit “Truth will Set You Free” (Jn. 8:32) – the College Motto is given as the foundation of the Logo which highlights the apex purpose of education – the attainment of Truth – the Absolute Reality – which ultimately makes one free.

The LAMP denotes the Divine Light of Knowledge that sheds the darkness of ignorance away. It also echoes the Bharat Mantra, thamasomaa jyothir gamaya.

The Coconut-tree, Lake & Hill Forest proclaim the eco-friendly and healthy atmosphere that prevails in the State of Kerala which also set calm and serene surroundings that provide for deep and advanced intellectual exercise. The Lotus found in the lake serves as symbol for purity, strength and resilience. The symbol Lotus that rises from the mud but having no stains depict the transcending of man’s spirit over worldly matter. It also represents the flowering of education in Indian context.

The BOOK refers to the storage of Wisdom which is handed over from time immemorial till date. A student is envisaged to be an ardent learner and a sincere seeker who has to explore these treasures of Wisdom always.

CARPENTER’S SQUARE &THOOLIKA (PAINTBRUSH): The first stands for the Great Master who designed this Universe with balanced measurements perfectly well and urges the students to be great creators. The second is the greatest weapon in the hands of an educated person with which one fights and eradicates all the social evils and records the outcome of research for the advancement and the well-being of the humanity.

MITRE denotes that the College is managed and led by the Syro-Malabar Catholic Community of the Archdiocese of Thrissur.
