Fashion Designing Club

Fashion designing club aims at bringing out the inherent talent in students on the side of creativity. It also enables students to develop the unrecognized skills in them to a level where the student believes to turn out a creation of one’s own. The club enables students to interact with people who have caved a path in the field of designing. In addition to that, the club focuses on promoting the creativity skills of students related to clothing, accessories, jewellery and even interior art. The club envision to be a suitable platform for various skills in designing which can ensure the growth of students in the path of creativity and entrepreneurship.

  • Foster the inherent talent in students on the side of creativity and to develop the skills to

    the field of designing.
  • Create a platform to interact with people who have caved a path in the field of designing
    and can encourage the students to excel in this field.

THE CREATIVE HOUR

‘THE CREATIVE HOUR’ – a workshop organized to promote the artistic skills of students. An innovative method using paper pulp to create articles which can improve the aesthetic beauty of interiors of any place. This method was introduced to the students by Mr Manoj Mundapet of the Creatives.

VANITHA COVER GIRL

Vanitha Cover Girl contest conducted for the students of St Thomas College. An opportunity for young girls who aspire a career in modeling. The programme was organized by Vanitha magazine.

COLOURS OF INDIA WITH THE RHYTHM OF HIMACHAL

‘COLOURS OF INDIA WITH THE RHYTHM OF HIMACHAL’ – a fashion show organized to reveal the diversity of India. The show was based on the theme ‘Traditional costumes of India’. The programme envisioned at creating an awareness of National Integrity and Unity in Diversity, the facets of Constitution of India. Traditional costumes were worn by students for ramp walk which talked about the costume patterns followed in India.

SIGNATURE DESIGNS

‘SIGNATURE DESIGNS’ – An opportunity for students to showcase their skills in fashion designing. Creative designs in clothes – ideas as well as designing – is considered for this competition. A platform for students to showcase their skills in the designing of clothes. A competition conducted to make the leisure time during lockdown period creative.

DECOR

‘DÉCOR’ – An opportunity for students to showcase their skills in interior designing. Pandemic period and scraps in homes are a beautiful combination for creative minds. This platform provides such creative minds to showcase their skills. Competition is conducted for students who are able to produce home décor items with the scraps or locally available materials at home. Interior designing with minimum expense was the thought behind this competition.
