WOMEN’S CELL engages with the awareness and sensitization of gender issues among the students, staff of St. Thomas College. Objectives are as follows:
- To make continued efforts for the gender sensitization of the students, faculty, research scholars and non-teaching staff of the college through seminars, sessions with experts.
- To enrich curriculum, content and pedagogies for an understanding of concepts of masculinity and femininity and gender stereotypes.
- To ensure that gender equity is integrated into institutional strategic planning, and that policy development, operational practices and procedures are all informed by equality of opportunity.
- To create a gender responsive administrative, teaching and learning in the college.
- To facilitate conditions for women, men, genderqueer to share power equitably leading to a truly democratic society.
