Journal of World Languages and Culture (JWLC)
The Journal of World Languages and Culture (JWLC) is an international peer-reviewed e-journal launched by the Santhome Institute of Indian and Foreign Languages (SIIFL) at St. Thomas College (Autonomous), Thrissur, Kerala, India. Scheduled for its inaugural issue in January 2025, JWLC aims to serve as a platform for exploring the multifaceted intersections of language and culture. It encourages interdisciplinary research to foster a global understanding of linguistic diversity, cultural preservation, and innovative pedagogical practices.
About SIIFL
Established in 2019, the Santhome Institute of Indian and Foreign Languages (SIIFL) has become a prominent hub for teaching and researching Indian and world languages. With over 20 online and offline language courses, SIIFL contributes significantly to studying and disseminating linguistic and cultural knowledge. The launch of JWLC marks a significant step in SIIFL’s mission to extend its reach by promoting global scholarship in language and cultural studies.

- The roles, structures, and functions of world languages, including English, major European, African, Asian, and Indian languages.

Submission Guidelines: JWLC accepts:
- Research Articles (3000–4000 words): Original studies exploring linguistic and cultural dynamics.
- Book Reviews: Evaluations of translations and linguistic studies.
Submissions should adhere to APA format (Times New Roman, 12 pt) and include a 100-word abstract
and a 50-word author bio. Manuscripts must be submitted in Word format to ed.jwlc@gmail.com. Deadlines: 15th December for the January–May 2025 issue & 15th May for the June–December issue.
