Post Graduate Department of Electronics, St Thomas’ College, Thrissur conducted one day seminar on the topic ‘Artificial Intelligence and Robotics’ on 29th January, 2019 at Menacherry Hall. The seminar was inaugurated by our college Executive Manager Fr.VargheseKuthur. The welcome speech was delivered by Mr.Jinesh Paul.C, HOD, Department of Electronics, St. Thomas’ College, Thrissur.

The Presidential Address was given by Dr. Thomas Paul Kattookaran, Vice Principal, St.Thomas’ College, Thrissur. The felicitations were given by Dr. K.L Joy, Vice-Principal, St.Thomas’ College, Thrissur. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. N Raghu(Director, CMET-Thrissur).The inaugural session has been concluded with vote of thanks delivered by Shyma P. M, 1st year PG student.

The inaugural session has been followed by a tea break and refreshment at 11.00AM.

           The technical sessions were started at 11.15 AM. In session I (11.00 AM -12.30 PM) Dr.Bijoy Antony Jose (Faculty, CUSAT) led the session on the topic “Automation study: Constructing a CNC engraving machine from scratch”.

After session I, lunch break (12.30-1.30 PM) was given to the participants.

          The technical sessions were continued by session II (1.30-2.45 PM) by Mr.Abijith C.R (Co-founder, Qrio Technologies Pvt. Ltd.) on the topic “How to train your Neural Network” – Practical approach

In Technical Session III(2.45-3.45 PM), there wasa talk and live demonstration on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics which was given by Stem Robotics, Thrissur.

In the valedictory sessionmementos and certificates of participation have been given to the Resource Persons and participants respectively by our Executive manager Fr.Varghese Kuthur. The seminar has been concluded with vote of thanks given by Ms.Harshada M.M, 2nd year UG student.Seminar evaluation forms have been distributed among the participants and feedbacks were collected.
