About FINCON 2027
The Research & Postgraduate Department of Commerce, St. Thomas College (Autonomous), Thrissur, is pleased to announce FINCON 2027 – the 10th International Conference, scheduled to be held on 14 and 15 January 2027 in hybrid mode.
The 10th edition of FINCON is centred on the theme “Transition Finance & The Green Economy”, bringing together academics, researchers, research scholars, students, finance professionals, industry practitioners, policymakers and other stakeholders to deliberate on the rapidly changing relationship between finance, sustainability and economic transformation.
The global economy is undergoing a significant transition towards low-carbon, resource-efficient and socially responsible models of development. This transformation requires not only technological innovation but also new approaches to finance, investment, banking, accounting, business, entrepreneurship, governance and public policy. Transition finance has consequently emerged as an important mechanism for supporting organisations and industries as they move from carbon-intensive practices towards more sustainable economic models.
FINCON 2027 seeks to provide an interdisciplinary platform to examine these developments from financial, economic, business, technological, social, regulatory and behavioural perspectives. The conference particularly encourages research that connects finance with contemporary societal and environmental challenges and explores practical pathways towards a more sustainable and inclusive economy.

The transition towards a green economy involves much more than financing renewable energy. It encompasses the transformation of traditional industries, businesses and financial systems while ensuring economic resilience, social inclusion and long-term sustainability.

Call for Papers
FINCON 2027 invites original research papers, conceptual papers, empirical studies, case studies and interdisciplinary research contributions from scholars and practitioners across the world.
The conference particularly welcomes contributions that bridge disciplines and provide new perspectives on the challenges and opportunities associated with financial and economic transition.
Researchers are encouraged to present studies based on diverse methodologies, including quantitative, qualitative, mixed-method, theoretical, comparative and case-based approaches.
