As part of curriculum for 1st Semester MSW students, a community living camp “Thirayum Theeravum” was organized from 30th September to 5th October, at S. N. Puram Panchayat with the cooperation and support from Kudumbasree District Mission.

Social work trainees of St. Thomas College, Thrissur visited Divyahridayashramam (an institution for the renewal and rehabilitation of the abandoned and wandering people) in Chennaipara.
First Semester Social work students visited Pain and Palliative Care Society on 20 th June, as part of their observation visit.
On 13th June, as part of Rural living camp of 2016-2018 batch, a library was installed by the social work trainees at Govt. Tribal School Gottiyargandi. Trainees collected around 500 books which was useful for children and contributed to the library.
The Social Work Department observed Anti-drugs Day programme on 26th June, as part of International Anti drugs Day in association with Child Line Thrissur. Social work department of St. Thomas College in association with Childline, Thrissur conducted AntiChild Labour Day observance programme on 12th June at Thrissur Collectorate.
