NCC – Activities

From August 15 to October 2, 2020, the cadets participated in the Fit India Freedom Run programme organized by the central government.    

On 15 August 2020, we conducted flag hoisting ceremony in our college in connection with Independence Day celebration. Principal Dr. Joy K L hoisted the national flag and received salute from the cadets. The boys platoon participated in the March past after the flag hoisting. On 26 July 2020, we were able to commemorate the Kargil Vijay Diwas by conducting an online quiz programme.

On 26 June 2020, as a part of observing international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking, the cadets created posters to spread awareness against drug abuse.

 Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in this academic year, our participation in NCC activities were in online mode. On 21 June 2020, the cadets celebrated the International Yoga Day by performing Yoga abhyas (in online mode).

St. Thomas College, Thrissur hoisted the Achiever’s day on 03 March 2020. The programme was organised under the aegis of the Ex-Cadets club and NCC St. Thomas College, Thrissur. Commodore R R Ayyar was the chief guest for the function. A guard of honour ceremony was presented by the St. Thomas College NCC SD cadets. [...]

Valedictory function was conducted on 12 February 2020 to felicitate the senior NCC cadets for their service in NCC. It was organized under the aegis of the second year NCC cadets.

The NCC SD and SW platoons participated in the morning march past competition organised by the Thrissur Corporation on 26 January 2020. Thrissur Corporation conducts a march past competition for NCC Cadets in connection with the Republic day rally. NCC teams from various colleges participate in the function.
