The department of Media Studies was established in 2008. The undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Visual Communication consist of the Theory and Philosophy of Visual Culture and Communication, Mass Media, New Media, Multimedia, Film and Television with practical training in Digital Film Technology, Sound and Video Editing, Cinematography, Light Design, Script-writing and Graphics and Animation. The courses are designed to equip the students with the art and craft of visual communication in order to enable them to emerge as professionals matching the human resource requirement for the rapidly growing media and entertainment industry.
