Department of Electronics, St Thomas’ College, Thrissur has conducted a workshop in association with Mathrubhumi Seed Club at SNBHS Kanimangalam on 06/12/2018.The workshop was based on LED based products such as LED bulbs, LED tube lights and LED stars.
St Thomas’ College, Executive Manager Fr.Varghese Kuthur inaugurated the workshop. Our Principal Dr. Ignatius Antony gave the presidential address. Mr.Vinod.P. Narayanan Mathrubhumi Senior Manager (Media Solutions), Mr. Ramesh, P.T.A President, SNBHS, Kanimangalam and Mrs. K.R Raji Headmistress, SNBHS Kanimangalam gave the felicitations. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr.JineshPaul.C, HOD, Department of Electronics, St Thomas’ College, Thrissur.
The workshop was lead by Mr.Jinesh Paul. C, Mrs. Neema Varghese, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics, St Thomas’ College, Thrissur and final year post graduate students of Electronics department.The workshop was arranged for 2 sessions. For both sessions assembling parts of LED products and their components were given to the students.
Session 1
There was an introduction to LEDs and its products. Continued by a training session to make simple circuits in breadboard and the assembling and making of LED bulbs.
Session 2
Students were trained to make LED tube lights and LED stars in this session.
