DOCTORAL STUDIES
Courses of research leading to Ph.D. are offered at the Research Centres of the Departments of Candidates for PhD will be accepted by the Research Supervisors in onsultation with their Heads of Departments and the Principal and as per the rules and regulations of the University of Calicut. Names of the Research Supervisors of the three Research Departments of the College are listed below. The vacancy for PhD in each research department of the college is published on the college and Calicut university websites. The Directorate of Research of the University of Calicut conducts an entrance test called Common Admission Test. Candidates who qualify this test and/or those who have M. Phil, UGC-NET, CSIR JRF/GATE/PhD Inspire Fellowship and permanent faculty are eligible for applying directly to the College. Eligible candidates apply to the desired research centre and to the Research Council. Research Admission Council composed of Principal, Research Co-ordinator, representatives of the University and Research Supervisors interview the selected candidates. It is the Research Council that scrutinizes the admission process of PhD students. Candidates with M.Phil/JRF and permanent teachers are given preference. International students to the College are admitted based on the instructions and guidelines given by the Government of India.
