Alumni meet of English & History Departments of St.Thomas’ College ,Thrissur was held on 29th of February 2020 in Menachery Hall @ 2pm . The event titled ‘ Homecoming 2020 ‘ added a remarkable day to the history of the college. Sri. Anil Akkara , MLA , Wadakancherry Constituency, an alumnus of St. Thomas’ College , Thrissur was the invited chief guest of the meet.
Dr.DaliaVarghese ,HoD , Department of English, delivered the welcome speech. Mar Tony Neelankavil , Manager & Auxiliary Bishop of Thrissur rendered the Benedictory Address . Sri.AnilAkkara MLA ,Alumnus ,BA Double Main , delivered the inaugural address. Dr. K.P .Nandakumar , President , English & History Alumni Association made the presidential address. Dr. K.L. Joy , Principal made the keynote address. Rev.Fr. Varghese Kuthur , Executive Manager , Sri. P.M Thomas , President , OSA and Sri. C .A. Francis , Secretary , General OSA felicitated the gathering.
Professor A.M. Varghese, Former President, Alumni Association, distributed the awards to the UGC Net holders. The Annual Report was presented by Dr. Viju M.J., Secretary, English& History Alumni Association. The election of new office bearers was held with great significance . Dr. George Alex, Former HoD, Dept. of History delivered the vote of the thanks. The programme had a great audience who made the meet a grand success. The event concluded with effective responses from the alumni in the evening.
