POST GRADUATION

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

B.Sc. Degree in Mathematics (Main) or equivalent degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in core and at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in Part III (core and complementary put together.

At least 50% marks or equivalent grade in Statistics/ Applied Statistics (Main) /Mathematics & Statistics (Double Main/core)/ Mathematics (Main/core) with Statistics as one of the subsidiaries in the B.Sc. Degree of Calicut University or equivalent degree.

The candidate should have secured at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade in BSc. Computer Science or Information Technology or Electronics or Physics or Mathematics or Statistics or Chemistry) or BCA or B.Tech/BE (Computer Science or Information Technology or Electronics or Electronics and Telecommunication or Electronics and Communication) of Calicut University or equivalent degree.

B.Sc Degree in Physics/Applied Physics (Core) of Calicut university or an equivalent degree, with Mathematics as compulsory complementary, having 50% mark or equivalent grade in Part III (Core and complementary put together). In the case of applicants with tripple main/three majors, they should have Physics and Mathematics as two mains/majors and should have minimum 50% marks or equivalent grade, while putting the three mains/majors together.

B.Sc. Degree of Calicut University with Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry/ Polymer Chemistry (Main/core) or equivalent degree with Physics & Mathematics subsidiaries with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade for Part III (excluding subsidiaries).

Bachelor degree in Botany or Plant Science of University of Calicut or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 50% marks in the main (core) subject under the mark system or equivalent grade under the grade system, with 45% marks or equivalent grade in the case of OBC/OEC candidates and with a pass in the case of SC/ST candidates.

B.Sc Degree of Calicut University, or equivalent/recognised degree with Zoology (main/core) with 50% marks or equivalent grade in core (Part III excluding subsidiaries).

BSc Degree of Calicut University with Electronics/ Physics /Computer Science / Instrumentation (Main) or equivalent degree with at least 50% marks for Part III. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible to relaxation up to 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass.

Any candidate who has passed B.Com or BBA (earlier BBS) degree of University of Calicut or B.COM, BBA or BBM or BBS degree of any other University or Institute in any State recognised by UGC or AICTE with a minimum of 45% marks or equivalent grade.

B.A English Lang. & Litt./BA English & History/ BA functional English with at least 45% marks or BA/BSc (excluding alternative pattern) degree with at least 45% marks in Part I English, of this University or equivalent degree. For candidates under grading system overall CGPA at least equivalent to 50%.

BA degree from University of Calicut with Economics/Foreign Trade/ Development Economics (Main/core) or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks for Part III (excluding subsidiaries) or equivalent grade OR BSc Degree of this University with Statistics/Mathematics/Computer Science (Main/core) with 70% marks for Part III (excluding subsidiaries) or equivalent grade.

Any student who has passed any degree of the University of Calicut or that of any other university or Institute recognised by the UGC or AICTE and ratified by the University of Calicut as equivalent there to with not less than an aggregate minimum of 45% marks or with an equivalent grade point under the regular stream (or in the distance stream) is eligible for admission.

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline recognised by the University of Calicut with a minimum of  50% aggregate marks/grade. Aggregate marks/grade means the total marks/grade obtained for part- I English and part III (Core & Complementary). For those disciplines, which do not have English, only main and subsidiary marks/grade will be taken into consideration.
